MOSELEY, VA - Jim E. Wolfe, 86, of Moseley passed on Friday, June 14, 2024. Born in Dungannon, VA, he was preceded in death by his father, Nathan D. Wolfe; mother, Myrtle Greear Wolfe and brothers, Kenneth and Johnny. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Bobbie; sons, Mark and Neil; sister, Judy Lawson (Ray); nephews, Jason Wolfe and Nathan Lawson (Stacey). Jim joined the Navy at age 17 and was part of the military justice school, which gave him the good fortune of visiting many ports throughout the world while serving on the USS Northampton. Following Naval service, he attended Lincoln Memorial University, eventually transferring and graduating from Virginia Tech. Jim started his professional career in finance in Lancaster, PA with Armstrong World Industries. He then moved to Richmond in 1974 working many years for Reynolds Metals. He retired as Vice President of Finance for Carl Zeiss Optical Company. An avid woodworker, do it yourself, and chocolate lover, Jim enjoyed life and loved his family and friends and was always ready to celebrate with them and help them when they needed it. Interment will be held at Hollywood Cemetery with a private family service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Tunnel to Towers or the Wounded Warrior Project.
