KINGSPORT - Jimmy Ray Kiser, age 89, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 3, 2025, and entered his Heavenly Home.

Born in Pound, Virginia, Jimmy was a proud U.S. Army veteran and a hardworking electrician. He was a dedicated 63-year member of IBEW Local 934. Known to many as Jim or Jimmy, but always "Dad" to his family, he was a true family man and the world's greatest fisherman.

He and his beloved wife, Shirley, shared 66 wonderful years of marriage until her passing in 2024. Together, they built a loving home and raised their sons with strong values, teaching them how to hunt, fish, play ball, and, most importantly, how to grow into responsible, kind-hearted men.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Kiser; son, Barry Kiser; parents, Emory and Rosie Kiser; and brothers, Franklin Kiser and Emory Kiser, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Mickey Kiser and wife Melissa; granddaughter, Sara Kiser; four bonus grandchildren, Charlee Arnold, Taylor Arnold, Porter Pratt, and Tommee Pratt; and his sisters, Anna Sue Davis and Beatrice Shelton.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Centers. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Roy Hull officiating. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park, with Military Honors provided by American Legion Hammond's Post #3 and Gate City Post #265.
