Joe Redman Obituary

MOUNT CARMEL – Joe Richard Redman passed away and went home to be with the Lord November 2, 2023.

Joe was born in Norton, VA on September 28, 1927, to the late Moscoe and Carrie Redman. Joe moved to Kingsport in 1949 along with his wife Betty Evans Redman. He worked for Mason and Dixon Truck Line for 36 years, worked for Mini Fibers for several years, and he was a proud WWII Army Veteran.

In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by 7 siblings, 4 children, 1 grandson, and wife, Betty.

Those that are left to cherish Dad's memory are his daughter, Karen Redman, son, Mark Redman (Denise); 2 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Dad was a member of Bible Way Baptist Church and loved his church family. Dad's ministry for his Savior was through song.

A visitation will be held from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Bible Way Church, 570 Packing House Road Kingsport, TN 37660. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM with Pastor Rick Vannoy officiating. The burial will follow at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
