John McKay Obituary

KINGSPORT - John Edward McKay, 86, of Kingsport, passed away on Monday evening, March 20, 2023 at Holston Manor. He was born to the late Robert and Mable Jett (Larkey) McKay. John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and after his retirement from the service he was a carrier for the United States Postal Service.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Allgood; brother, Bill McKay.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Barbara McKay; son, Steve McKay and wife Dianna; daughter, Tracy Morelock; grandchildren, Megan Campbell and husband Matt, Jesse McKay; sister, Alice York; and brother, Larry McKay.

John's final wish was for cremation and his remains will be buried in the Garden of Prayer in East Lawn Memorial Park at a later date.
