Jon Ferbrache Obituary
GATE CITY, VA - Jon Carlton Ferbrache, 70, Gate City, VA passed away at his home on December 31, 2022 after a brief illness.
He was born January 13, 1952 and was the son of the late Lawrence and Mildred (Seavers) Ferbrache.
Jon graduated from Gate City High School with the class of 1970. He later pursued a career in surveying working as an apprentice with the Larry Gillenwater Surveying Company. He was a long-time volunteer fire fighter with the Gate City Fire Department. Jon was of the Methodist faith.
Being a lifelong resident of Gate City, Jon leaves behind many who will miss him and remember his polite and helpful ways.
He is survived by numerous cousins, and very special and caring neighbors, Barbara and Benny Reed.
There will be a private "scattering of ashes" ceremony for Jon by his family.
"Some glad morning, when this life is over, I'll fly away, to a Home on God's Celestial shore, I'll fly away".
