So sorry for your loss. Joe and I graduated together from Hiltons High School in 1954. He was voted the most Athletic Boy in our class and I was the most athletic girl. We both loved basketball. I knew many of his siblings. A great family. Praying for the family.

Joe and the entire Blackburn family were very dear and much respected to many from the Gate City/Scott County, VA. area. My sincere sympathy to his family. May our Heavenly Father give you the peace that only He can provide. Rejoice in a life well lived and know that you will be together again in Heaven if you know the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Blessings to each of you!

Joe and his brother Bird were great friends of mine and they taught me how to play the game of basketball and especially how to shoot the basketball.
