ROATAN, HONDURAS - Dr. Joseph "Raoul" Morin, 77, passed away unexpectedly in his home on the island of Roatan, Honduras. Dr. Morin died peacefully on April 18th, 2024, of natural causes.
Prior to his move to Roatan, which he repeatedly called "the closest to Heaven I've ever been", Dr. Morin had been a Kingsport resident from 1979 to 2020 and was well-known as a local Pediatrician who cared for a large population of children in the area.
Dr. Morin was born in Flint, Michigan and is preceded in death by his father Joseph Raoul Morin, Sr.; his mother, Mary Childress Morin; and his brother James Morin.
He is survived by two sisters, Gayle Conlon, and Sandy Fields; his three children, Seth, Travis, and Camille; as well as five grandchildren, Alex, Gabriella, Zachary, Heather, and Eli.

Dr. Morin practiced medicine for 45 years and worked for Kingsport Pediatrics until he embarked into solo practice developing The Care Center and growing his practice to employ 20 individuals. He was dedicated to serving many under-served and saw many patients on state-funded insurance, helping the community without financial benefit.
Dr. Morin dedicated his life to Jesus Christ and was active in his church communities both in the States and abroad. Dr. Moran was our children's pediatrician for several years. I found him to be a most caring person and a doctor that didn't rush through an office visit. My children were never skeptical about their visits with him. My sincerest sympathy for you during this time. Dr. Moran is not lost, he is with his Heavenly Father.
