Diane went to meet her Lord on October 8, 2023, at home after a brief illness. She lived life to the fullest, loved adventure, bluegrass, and flatfoot. Diane loved her family and friends and always had a great sense of humor and a smile on her face.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Steadman; grandparents, N.E. and Stacy Steadman; uncles, J.C., Robert, Orville, Johnny, and Junior Steadman; and aunts, Thelma Boyer, and Jean Holden.
Diane is survived by her son, William (Will) H. White; one stepson, Joey White; uncle, J.D. Steadman; aunt, Barbara Morelock; special caregivers, Rhonda Copas, Jan Gragg, Joyce Ward, Bill White, and Debra White; and several loving cousins, family, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.
Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
In honor of Diane, the family would like to encourage anyone who wishes to wear tie-dye to the service.
