CHURCH HILL - Kaitlyn "Katie" Elizabeth Byington Ingerick, 33, of Church Hill, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, August 12, surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 5, 1992, to Lynn and Becky Byington, Kaitlyn was preceded in death by her grandparents Jim and Nancy Trent, Joyce Byington; her uncle, Donnie Wright; and her best friend Corey Hagood.

Kaitlyn graduated from Volunteer High School in 2010 and earned her Bachelor's degree in Youth and Family Ministries & Human Services from the University of the Cumberlands in 2015.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Connor Ingerick of Church Hill; stepson, Clayton Ingerick of Sylva, NC; parents, Lynn and Becky Byington; sisters, Amber Williams (Dustin); Esther Rosette; brother, Hunter Byington; and her beloved papaw, James Byington; special niece and nephew, Ellie and Oliver; as well as many other dear nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home from 3:15 – 4:00 PM. A celebration of Katie's life will be held at a later date.
