KINGSPORT - Kawana Jean (Sissy) Cooper, 62, of Kingsport, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, after a brief illness.
She worked 28 years in Food Services at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Her hobbies included attending Fun Fest, hot air balloons, she was an avid U.T. fan and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Kawana is preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Cooper; parents, James and Charlotte Greer; brother; Bill Greer.
Surviving are her brother, Robert Edward "Bob" Greer and wife, Tonya; his children, Misty, Brandon, Tasha, Levi, and Mason; sister-in-law, Donna Greer; niece, Lindsay Bryam (Phil); their daughter, Aivree; nephew, Justin Greer (Heather); his children, Ella, Hadley, and Ewan; a special friend; Mary "Mickie" Warwick.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer balloon arrangements or donations may be made to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee, 1020 Jericho Drive, Blountville TN 37663.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 15, 2023, from 1:00 until 2:00 pm in the Fireside Room at Oak Hill Funeral Home.
Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Ed Clevenger officiating.

Kawana was one of the first friends I made when I went to Washington Elementary in 5th grade ~ a precious soul! I´m so sorry! Blessings for her family!
