KINGSPORT – Kenneth Edward Belcher, 82, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital.
Kenneth was born in Wise County, VA to Robert and Maxie Ferrell Belcher. He was a dispatcher for 17 years for A.J. Metler Trucking. He was a member of Remnant Church in Kingsport.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cathy Wallace Belcher.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Bays (Matt); grandchildren, Addison, Carson, and Charlie; sisters, Carolyn Nappier (Harold), Teresa Belcher, Barbara Rutherford, and Betty Rowland; brother, Paul Belcher (Alice); along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 31 at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jeff DeBoard officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 1 at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 AM.
Pallbearers will be Steve Christian, Harold Nappier, Dylan Christian, Tim Carr, James Oney, and Wayne Goins.
