HAWKINS COUNTY - Kenneth Grigsby Hagood "Pap", 82, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, with family and his dogs by his side.

Kenneth was born in Hawkins County and was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nellie (Duncan) Hagood; sons, Kenneth Lee Hagood and Steven Lynn Hagood; parents, Mary and Walter Hagood; sisters, Mary Jean Jones and Thelma "Pon" Adams; brothers, Bill Hagood and Jim Hagood.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Marie Smith (Daniel); special granddaughters, Danna Marie Smith (best friend) and Lyndsey Hagood; grandsons, Hunter Hagood and Logan Hagood; special brother-in-law, Dale Duncan, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local animal shelter of your choice.
