Kenneth Marshall Obituary

Kenneth Marshall

November 24, 1934 -

June 26, 2025

NORTON, VA - Kenneth Marshall, 90, of Norton, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025 at his home in Ramsey.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Nina Marshall in January; and a granddaughter Elyn Jean Davis in 1993.

Born Nov. 24, 1934, in Glamorgan, Ken was the 15th of sixteen children born to William Thomas and Lillie Belle (Hurd) Marshall. He was raised in Dorchester. Ken never met a stranger and loved to drink coffee and talk to anyone.

Ken worked for Royal Laundry in the 1960s. He also worked for Holston Valley Distributing Co. until his retirement and part-time at the Wise County Convenience Center which was a perfect job for a "pack rat." We always joked that he would bring home more items than actually made it to the landfill.

He is survived by daughters Myra Marshall and Debra and Tom Davis, of Norton; a brother, Robert Marshall of Norton; more nieces and nephews than we can count, Nina's Bolling family especially Bill who was always there anytime Dad needed anything repaired, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 am Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. A graveside service will immediately follow in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens with Josh Marshall officiating.

Ken always had a heart for little children, so we ask in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be shown by a donation to Norton Lions Club Big Heart Fund, P.O. Box 974, Norton, VA 24273.

"A father's tears and fears are unseen, his love is unexpressed, but his care and protection remain as a pillar of strength throughout our lives."

Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton is serving the Marshall family.
