Kimberly "Kim" Maurice Castle December 14, 1958- April 19, 2024
KINGSPORT - Kimberly "Kim" Maurice Castle (nee Smith), 65, of Kingsport, TN passed away on April 19, 2024.
She was born on December 14, 1958, in Bristol, TN to parents Bill and Ann Smith.
Kim met and married Donald Castle on August 6, 1983, and they had two daughters and a son.
She was a devoted, loving, and passionate caregiver to many. Her selflessness and kindness made a significant difference in the lives of those that she cared for. She was known as a mother figure to many beyond her own children. Her kind and nurturing nature touched the lives of all who knew her. Kim was a very loving person whose smile and care would light up your darkest day. She loved her family. Her roles as a mother and grandmother were among her greatest accomplishments. Her loving nature was obvious to all around her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Kim was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda LaJoie; son, Jimmy Castle; and her parents, Ann and Bill Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donald Castle; daughter, Rachel Van Orden and wife, Donna Van Orden; grandchildren, Alex, Christian, and Rylee LaJoie; son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Jessica LaJoie; sisters, Betty Garst (Danny), Amy Cross (Daryl) and Pam Davidson; sisters-in-law, Regina Estepp (Stan) and Sherrie Quillen; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a gathering at the family home, 815 Kendrick Creek Rd., on Saturday, April 27, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ronald McDonald House in memory of Kim Castle.
