Lana Phillips Obituary

Lana Kay Phillips was born on October 4, 1951, in Houston, Texas, to Vivian Edith Tomlin and George Williams Phillips. She was the youngest of three children born to this union and brought joy, warmth, and light to her family from the very beginning.

Lana is survived by her beloved son, Aaron Andrew Phillips (Tamara Woods Phillips), and her devoted lifetime partner, Walter Goddad. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Shanahan, and Linda's children, Cameran Shanahan and Darian Shanahan, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

A woman defined by compassion and unwavering dedication, Lana devoted her life to caring for her family and supporting others whenever they were in need. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and steadfast commitment touched countless lives throughout her personal and professional journey.

Lana was blessed with two cherished girls, Sara Salas and Christy Searcy, whom she welcomed into her life and loved as if they were her own daughters. Their bond was a testament to Lana's capacity for love and her belief that family is not only defined by blood, but by the heart.

Throughout her career, Lana owned and operated an ambulatory medical transportation company, providing essential support to individuals in need of healthcare access. She also worked in a medical office specializing in accounts receivable and billing and coding, where her diligence and professionalism were deeply valued.

Outside of her work, Lana found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved gardening, traveling, watching hummingbirds, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and listening to the timeless music of Elvis Presley. Her warmth, generosity, and quiet strength will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation to honor Lana's life will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Garden. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Arlington, Texas, for family members to attend.

Lana's legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to share in her life.
