Lawrence Queen Obituary
July 15, 1930 – September 14, 2023
LIBERTY, NC - Lawrence "Larry" Dechard Queen, 93, of Liberty and formerly of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, 212 West Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty, NC 27298. The family will have a private inurnment on Monday, October 16, 2023 at East Lawn Memorial Park, 4997 Memorial Boulevard, Kingsport, TN 37664.
Larry was the son of the late Clifford and Christine Jones Queen and was also preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Barnette Queen; and brother, Charles Queen.
He is survived by his children, Cathy Latham (Tom), Debbie Hancock and Larry Queen, Jr. (Becky); grandchildren, Jennifer Shelton (Johnny), Caitlyn Redden (Marty), Becky Ingle, Molly Ingle and Sam Ingle (Bryanna); 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Mitchell.
