Leon Lytle Obituary

CHURCH HILL - Leon F. Lytle, 94, of Church Hill went home to be with his Lord on Friday, November 3, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife; Betty Sue Frazier Lytle, his parents; Kirby and Allena Lytle; and his brother, Roy Lytle.

Left to mourn his passing are his daughter, Connie Lytle Dorton (Lars); son, Roger A. Lytle (Teresa); his sister, Mary Lou Lytle Townsend; and several nieces and nephews.

Leon was a 21-year veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an avid gardener who loved to share his produce with friends and neighbors. Leon was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church in Kingsport.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 7:00 pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill with Rev. Lars C. Dorton officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Hammond Post #3/265. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until the time of the service.
