JONESBOROUGH - Leroy Jackson, 87, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, passed away on October 13, 2025, after a period of declining health. A devoted husband, father, brother, and man of faith, he will be remembered for his kindness, friendly and funny spirit, and the love he poured into his family.

Born August 17, 1938, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to Frank and Ethel Jackson, Leroy graduated from high school in 1957. He spent many years in Michigan in the truck line industry as a billing clerk, known for his diligence and integrity. An entrepreneur at heart, he later founded KB Burgers, which he owned and operated for 30 years in Kingsport, Tennessee.

For 63 years he shared life with his beloved wife, Brenda. He loved Ford trucks, being outdoors, mowing a well-kept yard, and relaxing on his favorite swing. He worked hard, loved his family, and loved the Lord.

Leroy is survived by his wife, Brenda Jackson; his daughter, Cathy Knight; his son-in-law Michael Knight; his grandkids; Maya, Elijah, Ester and Shiloh; and his siblings Rosa McClung, Frankie Middleton, Willard Jackson, David Jackson, and Kenneth Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ethel Jackson and his sister, Barbara Jackson.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2630 TN-75, Blountville, Tennessee. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Rick Phillips. A graveside service will follow in the Garden of Prayer.
