SURGOINSVILLE - Lloyd Enos McLain, age 74, of Surgoinsville, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024 at home. Lloyd was always a hard worker and loved his family. He will always be missed and loved dearly. " Spread your wings and go rest high on that mountain."
He was preceded in death by his parents, Asa and Izetta McLain; 3 sisters, Eva Burrell, Delores McLain, and Phyllis Dugger; and 2 brothers, James and Don McLain.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 51 years, Kathy Drinnon McLain; daughter, Amanda (Doug) Russell; 2 sons, Nathan (Kristie) McLain, and Joseph (Joy) McLain; 3 brothers, Raymond (Tina) McLain, Marlon (Sherry) McLain, and Lyons McLain; 2 sisters, Marie (Jerry) Bullis, and Avis Williams; 5 grandchildren, Zachary Swatzell, Ingrid Caudill, Justin Adkins McLain, JoleeAnn McLain, and Noel McLain; 2 great-grandchildren, Gracen and Myra Caudill; and 4 step grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Friday, February 2, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm with Rev. Johnny Seymore. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 3, 2024 in Kite Cemetery. The family asks if you plan on attending the graveside service to please meet at the cemetery by 10:45 am.
