Lloyd Wilson September 2, 2024 NORTON, VA - Lloyd Robert Wilson, 81, died Monday, September 2, 2024, at his residence, He was a US Army veteran having served in Korea and was member of VFW Post 9600 in Pound, Va. He retired from Old Dominion Power Company as a supervisor with 40 years of service. He attended Stevens Church of God and served as Sunday School Superintendent. Lloyd was born in Glamorgan community of Wise County to the late Lloyd Wilson and Lilly Lucinda Cox Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Brickey Wilson; a son, Keith Wilson; and a brother Aubrey Wilson.
He is survived by his constant companion, Lady; special niece, Karen Williams and her husband Robbie; Tyler Williams and Colin Williams whom he considered his grandchildren; special friend, Kathy Ann; three brothers, Gary Wilson, Jimmy Wilson and Larry Wilson; seven sisters, Sandra Hemwall, Phyllis Graham, Sharon Meadows, Debra Russell, Diane Jenkins, Donna Craft and Peggy Wilson; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 am until 1 pm Friday, September 6, 2024, at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Allen Culbertson officiating. Burial with Military rites will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
