Lula Mary Davis August 12, 1936 - August 25, 2024
ROAN MOUNTAIN - Lula Mary Davis, 88, of Roan Mtn., Tennessee celebrated the Sabbath with the Lord Sunday, August 25, 2024.
Lula was born August 12, 1936, in Burnsville, North Carolina, to the late Walter Ensor and Geneva Griffith Ensor.
She was kind, loving, and complimentary to everyone she met, sharing Christ's love.
Lula attended First Baptist Church Roan Mountain, and she was a bookkeeper at Holston Valley Medical Center for over ten years.
In addition to her parents, Lula was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald R. Gilreath; second husband, J.D. Davis; sister, Marie Bridgeman; brother, Ernie Ensor; and granddaughter, Deborah Kae Gilreath.
Those left to cherish Lula's memory are her daughter, Deborah Stevenson; son, Steven Gilreath and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Joshua Gilreath, Donald Burton Gilreath, Anja McPherson; and Tara Stevenson Campbell; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 pm with Pastor Geren Street officiating.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Devotion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lula's memory may be made to Haven of Rest by visiting, www.havenofrestbristol.org or Knox Area Rescue Mission, www.karm.org
