KINGSPORT - Lula M. (Scott) Skeen, 88, of Kingsport, entered the gates of heaven Friday, August 16, 2024, at Ballad Holston Valley Hospital, from complications from a fall.
She graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School Class of 1954 and from East Tennessee Baptist School of Nursing in Knoxville.
Mrs. Skeen was a member of Lynn Garden Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, collecting recipes and getting together with 'The Breakfast Club" on Tuesday mornings at the Lynn Garden Dairy Queen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mac Skeen; parents, George and Jewel Scott; in laws, Ralph and Hazel Skeen and brother, Ronald Scott.
Surviving are her daughters, Tamra F. Skeen and Tracy S. Williams; her beloved grandson, Houston W. Williams; sister, Faye Detiveaux (Don); niece, Julie Detiveaux; nephews, Scott Detiveaux (Susie) and Rodney Scott; great-niece, Jenna Detiveaux; great-nephew, Andy Detiveaux (Jennine) and several cousins and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Section "C" with Pastor Rick Meade officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lynn Garden Baptist Church, 301 May St., Kingsport, TN 37665 or to your favorite charity.
