KINGSPORT - Luther M. Odom Jr., age 83, of Kingsport, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Odom retired from Quebecor where he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager. He was a member of the Book Manufacturing Institute and previously served on the Holston Valley Medical Center Board of Directors.
Preceding him in death are his parents; Luther M. Odom, Sr., and Marcella Smith Odom; wife: Linda Odom, son: Eric Odom and brother: Bobby Odom.
He leaves behind his wife: Sharon Odom; son: Christopher Odom (Angela G. Carland); daughters: Angela Corder (Jason) and Jessica Linkous (Tim Blevins). Grandchildren: Christen Odom, Olivia Frazier and Daniel Lawson and great grandchild: Camille.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Luther was a classmate at Hampton in Class of 58. Loved by everyone and a very good football player. Saw him at a re-union with Sharon. He said it was the happiest time of his life. Prayers for Sharon and family. Second chances are one of God Blessings. Jim Buchanan
