Pastor Mack Daughtery, age 71 entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, April 11, 2025 surrounded by his loving family members followed by a very brief illness. Mack was born on April 12, 1954 to the late Sara Hurd Daugherty and Charlie Mack Daugherty, Sr. in Sullivan County, TN. He was a member of Roadside Mission Baptist Church. Mack was a farmer at heart, loved his loyal companion "Booger", raised rabbits and enjoyed coon hunting as long as he was able. He was a Pastor serving Lawson's Memorial Church and Rock View Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Tristan Parker Daugherty; brother, Wendell Daugherty; in-laws, Melvin Parks and Eva Miller Parks; several brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
Mack is survived by his loving wife of almost 49 years, Marsie Daugherty; sons Chris Daugherty (Courtney) and Josh Daugherty; grandchildren, Isaiah, Gracie, Chase, Hayden, Olivia and Jaxon; niece, Heather Daugherty; and nephew, Wendell Daughtery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Roadside Mission Baptist Church from 5-8 PM. Service will follow at 8 PM with Pastor Vincent Salyer and Pastor Travis Stapleton officiating. Eulogy will be given by Gary Mack Quillen. Music will be provided by David, Debbie and Roger Easterling and ladies of the church. Interment will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Parks Family Cemetery in the Big Moccasin Community. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Colonial Funeral Home by 12 PM to go in procession to the cemetery.
Isaiah Daugherty, Hayden Daugherty, Chase Daugherty, Curtis Morrison, Pridemore Bellamy, Teddy Ketron and Matthew Babb will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Roadside Mission Baptist.
