NORTON, VA- Margie Burnell Barnette, 86, died Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at her residence. She was of the Apostolic faith. She was a daughter of the late Noah Flanary and Maxie Kraft Flanary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Barnette, Sr. and a brother, Roy Flanary.
She is survived by her son, Paul J. Barnette, Jr. of Sugar Hill, Ga.; two sisters, Joyce Fields of Elizabethton, Tn. and Wanda Flanary Anderson of Johnson City, Tn.; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the American Legion Cemetery, Big Stone Gap, Va.
