KINGSPORT - Mark Maddux, 75, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully, Monday afternoon, April 24, 2023. He was born in Kingsport, where he had lived for most of his life. Mark was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Festus and Ursula Maddux; brother, Donny Maddux.
Survivors include two sons, Scott Maddux and Lance Maddux and fiancée, Valerie; stepdaughter, Emily Landrum; stepson, Michael Kahill; two granddaughters, Lauren Maddux and Megan Maddux; two sisters, Evelyn Maddux and Teresa Galloway and husband, Bobby; mother of his children, Melinda Maddux; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Holston Manor.
Arrangements will be announced at a later date.
Graveside services will be held, Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 3:00 p.m., at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by The American Legion Posts 3/265.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
