Marsha Cox Obituary

KINGSPORT - Marsha Taylor Cox, 76, of Kingsport, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at her residence. Born in Kingsport, Marsha lived in this area her entire life. She graduated from Church Hill High School and retired from Eastman Chemical. Marsha taught Sunday School and loved working in the nursery. She loved her family more than anything, especially her grandchildren.
Marsha was preceded in death by her husband, David Cox; her parents, John and Jo Taylor.
Survivors include her son, Nathan Cox and wife, Sherry; grandchildren, Kiran Strickland, Mia Shea Cox and Layla Cheyenne Cox; great-granddaughter, Hope Strickland; sister, Susan Holtzclaw; sister-in-law, Judy Ferguson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 16th from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating. Graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sullivan Baptist Church, 4152 Maplewood St., Kingsport, TN 37660.
