Martha Patricia "Patsy" Davidson May 12, 1941- May 3, 2024
KINGSPORT - Martha Patricia "Patsy" Davidson, 82, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 3, 2024, at Asbury Steadman Hill surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 12, 1941, in Kingsport, to the late Willie and Mary Tomlinson Childress.
Patsy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren.
She never met a stranger and had a kind word for everyone who passed her way.
Patsy was a committed Christian and attended both the Baptist and Methodist churches.
She was a loving caregiver for over thirty years as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Patsy enjoyed reading and listening to music.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Davidson; brother, Bobby Childress.
Those left to cherish patsy's memory are her daughter, Sherri DeVault (Trey); son, Allen Davidson (Heather); grandchildren, Hannah Patterson (John), Xander DeVault, Jackson Davidson, Garrett Smith, and Milah Davidson; sisters, Ellen Fields, and Lynn Gross; sister-in-law, Pam Cloninger (David); brother-in-law, Dennis Chase; several nieces and nephews.
All services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local animal shelter.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff and nurses at Asbury Steadman Hill and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care of Patsy.
