Mary Lou Powell passed June 8, 2025. She lived a very long and fruitful life. Simply put she was the "Best Mom Ever".
She is survived by: (daughters) Susan Shepherd and Linda Powell (fiancé Tip Williams), (sons) Bert Powell, Jr. (Mona) and Jeff Powell. (Grandchildren) Christie Carter (Flint), Brent Cagle (Amy), Emily Robins, Heather Dobson, Jade Overton (Chris), Bert Powell, III, Mary Hincke (Justin), and Brittany Hale. (Great grandchildren) Flint D. (Baleigh) and Lindy Carter, Tyler and Anna Jones, Garrett and Hadley Dobson, Elliana and Juliana Koegler, Taylor and Hailey White, Julia and Justus Hincke, Mera and David Overton and Bert Powell, IV. (Great-Great grandchild) Aubrey Jones. (Sister) Becky Munger (Sydney).
She donated her body to the Quillen College of Medicine. After research, she will be at rest with the love of her life, Bert Powell at the VA National Cemetery in Johnson City.
The siblings would like to thank their sister Linda and Tip for the care they provided mom for her last years.
The family will have a private ceremony at a later date.

I am so sorry for Mary´s passing. She was such a sweet, soft spoken lady. I have fond memories of her during my elementary and high school years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
