KINGSPORT - Melba June Bevil, 86, of Kingsport, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Wexford House in Kingsport. She was born in Lakeland, Florida; had lived in various states but had resided in Kingsport since 1994. Melba attended Colonial Heights Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bevil was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Iverson and Alma Lou (Yeoman) Fallin; her son, Craig L. Bevil, 5 sisters and 7 brothers.

Melba is survived by her husband of 70 years, Larry H. Bevil; two daughters, Michelle Petix and husband, Louis, and Janet Dimuccio; 4 grandchildren, Melina, Richard, Karla and Makayla; 6 great-grandchildren, Frankie, Caylee, Jaxon, Dylan, Sophia, and Ava; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00- to 1:00 pm on Monday, July 14, 2025, in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Blountville, Tennessee. The funeral service officiated by Pastor Ryan Shaffer will be held at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Garden of Everlasting Life

Pallbearers will be Wayne, Matthew, Louis and Richard.
