Michael (Mike) C. Alley August 17, 1945- June 6, 2024

KINGSPORT - Michael (Mike) C. Alley, 78, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born August 17, 1945, in Kingsport, to Victoria Bartley Alley and Dale C. Alley. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He was a 1964 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from ETSU in 1975. Mike retired from accounting at Eastman Chemical Company in 1997. He was a member of Colonial Heights Christian Church for more than 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Victoria Alley Myers; and father, Dale C. Alley.

Mike is survived by his wife, Janice S. Alley; children, Tony Alley (Ana), LeAnne Himes (Jason), and Wendy Lewis (Alan); grandchildren, Valerie, Joseph, Victoria, Danica, Tyler, and Haley; two great-grandchildren; special aunt, Delores Bartley Whiten "Aunt Tootsie"; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend of 60 years, Jerry Lawson; his fur-baby, Tabby; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in law.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Colonial Heights Christian Church. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with David Mullins officiating.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
