Michael Heise Obituary

KINGSPORT - Michael Wesley Heise, age 62, of Kingsport, TN passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at his residence. He was born August 31, 1960 in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. Michael was a graduate of Cumberland College (now The University of the Cumberlands) in Williamsburg, KY with a degree in business and had additional education in turf maintenance. He worked extensively in Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee as a golf course superintendent. Michael was a golf enthusiast and loved his pets. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved parents, Ronald H. Heise and Julia R. Hackney Heise of Wellsboro, PA; sister, Christiana Raye Mills and husband Evan of Guilford, CT; nieces, Riley Raye Mills and Audrey Kate Mills of Guilford, CT.; and good friend, Crystal Cline of Kingsport, TN.

Gathering of family and friends will be held at Weaver Funeral Home 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Tuesday, August 1, 2023. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Humane Society, 1400 16th Street NW, Suite 360, Washington, DC 20036.
