Michelle Hughes Obituary

KINGSPORT - Michelle "Shelli" Lynn Hughes, 49 of Kingsport, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at her home. She was born in Kingsport and had resided in this area her entire life. Shelli went on to develop a career in sales where she couldn't have been better suited for her job; she never met a stranger and had a way of building trust-based, lasting relationships. She will be remembered for her larger-than-life personality, her contagious laugh, an enormous heart, her artistic and culinary talents and her love for music and singing. Shelli was taken from us far too early, but we know that heaven has gained an angel, and we will surely see her again.

Michelle is survived by her parents, Spencer Fletcher, Sr. and Linda Fletcher; son, Hunter and wife, Monica; daughters, Megan and husband, Preston, Lilli Grace; grandchildren, Zoey, Waylon and Henry; siblings, Spencer, Jr., Chad and wife, Jill, Andy and wife, April; nieces and nephews, Blake, Lauren, Alexis, Zachery and Kaile; and many other family members.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November12, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Bill Sims officiating.
