Minnie Lieu Riddle, age 93, went to her heavenly home on November 24, 2023. She was born in Clintwood, VA to the late Cleve and Velva Branham. She was a member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church for many years, where she enjoyed singing in their choir, and was a skilled beautician who worked out of her shop in her home. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 70 years, Harold; a sister, Launa Senter; four brothers, Otto Branham, Quinten Branham, Ernest Branham, and Lacy Branham; and son-in-law, Willie Jones.
She is survived by her two daughters, Nina Jones and Anne Eva Thurman and husband, Tommy; son, Harold Riddle, Jr., and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Jeff Jones, Ragan Riddle, Andrew Thurman, and Amanda Thurman Karalia; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Ferne Emery; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and caregivers of The Village at Allandale and Preston Place II for all the love and care shown to her during her time there.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at East Lawn Funeral Home, with funeral services at 1:00 PM with Rev. Wade Childress officiating.
Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
