ROGERSVILLE - Nancy S. Hipshire, age 78, of Rogersville, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at her residence following a period of declining health. Nancy's life was a testament to compassion and service. She touched many lives, but none more deeply than those closest to her. Although her most profound gift was her family - cherished as a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother - she was also a devoted member of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church where she gave generously of her time and heart, nurturing countless lives across generations. Whether comforting infants in the nursery, guiding young hearts through the youth CTS programs, or sharing her wisdom in Sunday School, Nancy's gentle spirit and unwavering faith left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Arkie Newton Spitzer.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Tom Hipshire, son Andy Hipshire and wife Amber of Rogersville, two sisters, Janie Lane and husband Tommy of Church Hill and Cindy Spitzer of Rogersville, nephew Rick Lane and fiancé Cathy of New Tazewell, TN.

Family will receive friends 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 13, 2025, in the chapel of Broome Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 13, 2025, in the chapel with Rev. Donnie Myers and Rev. Scott Farmer officiating.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2025, at Otes United Methodist Church Cemetery. For those who wish to attend the graveside service, please meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m.
