KINGSPORT - Nannie Kate Christian, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Nannie was preceded in death by her parents, John Perry and Elizabeth Fugate Roller; husband, Calvin "Buster" Christian; son, Rickey Christian; sisters, Jimmie Lee Greene, Thelma Humphreys, Betty Jo Scott, and Jessie Mae Richardson; cousin Mildred Larkin; daughter in law, Anita Christian.

Surviving Nannie include her son, Wayne Christian (Sandy); granddaughters, Casey Parker (Keith) and Keeton Christian (David); great-granddaughters Bernie Kate Ritchie and Hadley Kate Quillin; step great-granddaughter, Addison Parker; brothers, Junior Roller (Marguerite), Fred Roller (Margaret), and Roy Roller (Rhonda); brother-in-law, Larry Christian (Shirley).

Nannie was gifted at working with her hands, enjoying quilting, sewing, cooking, and gardening. She loved her family and was a dedicated spouse and grandmother. She retired from Kingsport City Schools, working in the cafeteria.

The Christian family will gather to celebrate Nannie's life on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 6-7 in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home, with service beginning at 7. Nannie will be laid to rest on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 12pm.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Life Care of Gray Memory Care for the loving care provided to Nannie.
