Opal Colleen Ragsdale

Opal Colleen Ragsdale, 84, a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted servant of God, entered her eternal rest surrounded by the love of her family.

Opal was the cherished wife of Larry James Ragsdale, with whom she shared 63 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they dedicated over 53 years to ministry at Lighthouse Apostolic Church and The Promise Church, leaving a profound spiritual legacy and touching countless lives through their faith.

Opal's devotion to her faith and family was unwavering. She was a true saint, known for her gentle spirit, steadfast love, and tireless commitment to furthering the kingdom of God. Her legacy of faith and compassion will forever live in the hearts of those she touched.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Joel Ragsdale; daughter, Kim Malone; granddaughters, Whitney Thacker-Fansler (Josh), Briana Malone; and great-granddaughter, Laramie Fansler.

Her memory will be a guiding light for all who knew her, a testament to a life lived in unwavering faith and service.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 3 pm until 5 pm at The Promise Church 115 Hickory Hills Road, Church Hill, TN 37642 with a funeral service to follow at 5 pm with Pastor Jonathan Lovelace and Mike Vicars officiating. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday May 20, 2025, at 11 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 am.
