Pansy Lee Hagie January 22, 1922 - April 15, 2024
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith…"
II Timothy 4:7
A dedicated Saint of God, Pansy Lee Hagie, 102, entered Heaven's gates on Tuesday, April 15, 2024, smiling after a long full life.
She was very loved by all who knew her and will be missed greatly! She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She will always hold a special place in our hearts that no one can fill but a Christian mother.
Pansy was a member of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. In her younger years, she worked at the silk mill in Johnson City and Drokes Shoe Store in Kingsport. After having her children, she became a homemaker to love and support them in all their endeavors.
Preceding Pansy in death are her husband of 62 years, Robert W. Hagie; parents, James and Alice Peterson; six brothers; five sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
Surviving are her two daughters, Phyllis Dunn and husband, Bobby, Karen Miller and husband, Tim; son, Jim Hagie and wife, Tina, all of Kingsport; grandchildren, Mandy Hagie, Wesley Dunn and wife, Anna, and Shannon Dunn; two great-grandchildren, Lauren Randolph and husband, Matt, and Logan Dunn; three great-great-grandchildren, Lanie Dunn, Lakelee McDaniels, and Atlas Jean Dunn; and several step-great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services.
A Celebration of Pansy's life will begin at 1:00 pm, Friday, April 19, 2024, at Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church, 154 Anco Place, Kingsport with Pastor Wayne Baker, Rev. Todd Jennings, and Rev. Rick Vannoy officiating.
Graveside Services will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will include Shannon Dunn, Logan Dunn, Jerry Laws, Terry Peterson, Rodney Pate, and Dallas Peterson.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Conkin, Matt Randolph, Eugene Sparks, Carl Peterson, Jr and Wesley Dunn.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Crown Cypress for their devotion and love extended to their mother, with special friends Pat Waycaster and Helen Parris. Gentiva Hospice provided outstanding care for Pansy until her passing. Special thanks to Tammy Taylor, Lindsey Altmen, and Sarah Morey, who extended so much love and care for her.
