KINGSPORT - Patsy Ruth Harris-Williams, age 84, of Kingsport, TN., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 24 at home after a brief illness.
She was born on December 1, 1939, a daughter of the late John and Eula Hendrickson of Knoxville, TN. Patsy married Charles "Charlie" Harris and transplanted from Knoxville to Bristol where they started a family and lived together for 24 years until his untimely death. As charter members of Charity Baptist Church, Patsy remained faithful in her dedication to serve as the Nursery Director for many years. She loved serving young families and keeping up with the little ones.

She was a wonderful mother, Nana, and friend. She taught by example and shared her love of Jesus wherever she went. Her family enjoyed listening to her stories and spending time with her especially as she tried to navigate new technology.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty Hensley and Gail Hurst; brothers, Benny and Jay Hendrickson and late husband, Charles Harris.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell Williams of Kingsport, TN.; daughter, Susie Leonard (Danny) of Blountville, TN; son, Charles "Chuck" Harris (Sandy) of Bristol, TN.; four grandchildren, Erik Leonard (Amanda) of Bristol, TN; Will Leonard of Atlanta, GA; Regan Guess (Cody) of Charlotte, NC; Kaylee Carrier (Zachary) of Bristol, TN; great granddaughter (Harper Leonard) and arriving soon great grandson (Nash Guess).
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers; loving husband, Darrell; Martha and Kendra of Amedysis and Karen Blair, for their love and care for her during her brief illness.
