Paul Britt Obituary

KINGSPORT - Paul Randall Britt Sr., 78, of Kingsport, TN entered the Gates of Heaven while surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023.

Paul was born in Kingsport TN, to the late Bruce and Susie Britt. He graduated from Ketron High School and ETSU. Growing up, Paul had a love for basketball, baseball, boxing, and Boy Scouts. Paul shared his passion for sports with his children by coaching their multiple sports teams with the Boys Club and Kingsport recreation leagues. He spent the majority of his career working with youth as a drug and alcohol counselor. Paul was devoted to positively influencing the lives of youth and everyone around him. Paul loved to spend weekends with his family, cheering on football games, playing horseshoes, and watching his favorite shows Family Feud, Gun Smoke, and Andy Griffith. Above all, Paul loved and supported his family unconditionally. Even on his sickest days, he never complained and made his family the number one priority. Paul attended Way of Life Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Paul was reunited with his loving soul mate, Hannah Jo Britt; son Randy Britt, siblings Artie Lunsford and Gene Britt.

Survivors include his daughters Paula Rock and Misty Britt. Son Mark Britt and wife Ashley. Grandchildren: Brittany Purtle (Zack), Jacob Britt (Kelsey), Austin Britt (Jaycee), Brian Vaughn (Reagan), Chris Rock, Colby Britt, Madison Britt, Mikalah Britt, and Caden Britt. Plus several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive family and friends at Trinity Memorial Funeral Home Friday December 29th from 6 to 7:30 pm with the service immediately following.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
