Paul David Jones March 15, 1939- May 28, 2024
CHARLOTTE, NC - Paul David Jones, 85, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Kingsport on March 15, 1939, son of the late James and Frances Cox Jones. David was always a very bright man that could fix anything. He enjoyed working on computers, cars, TV's and anything else he could get his hands on. David had a passion for playing pool and enjoyed playing with his friends and family.
David was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronnie Jones; and daughter, Tammy Franklin.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; daughters, Peggy Ann Britt and Caroline Jones; grandchildren, David Franklin, Joey Franklin, Timothy Franklin, Johnathan Franklin, Angel Crawford and Bay Gagne; several great-grandchildren; and brother, Oscar Gene Jones.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 4:00 - 6:00pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 10:00am at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
His grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers.
