Psalms 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delighteth in his way.

Ralph Jeter, 82, passed into the presence of the Lord on Friday, March 28, 2025, at home.

Ralph was saved in 1961 and served as deacon and treasurer for many years. He faithfully attended Freedom Baptist Church as long as his health allowed. His favorite verse was John 14:1-4. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

He was a 1963 graduate of Church Hill High School. He retired from Dodge Reliance in 1991 after 17 years of service.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Sr. and Nannie Jeter; sister Joyce Byington; and brother Roy Jeter, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 60 years, Nancy Nelson Jeter; son, Barry and Mary Jeter; daughter, Sabrina & Tim Thacker; granddaughters, Leah and Justin (Thacker) Murray and Sarah Jeter; sister, Jeanette Trent; and sister-in-law, Betty and Bill Hart.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. David Franzus and his staff: Sherry, Tammy, Sherry, T.C., and Tony for their love and care for the last 38 years. They would also like to thank a special former pastor to Ralph, Bro. Charles Long.

The family will receive friends at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home on March 31 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ricky Vannoy and Pastor Troy Daily officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:40 PM to go in procession.

Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Jeter, Tim Thacker, Justin Murray, Jeff Winegar, Darrell Bishop, Dennis Hagemeyer, Chad Crigger, and Michael Crigger. Honorary pallbearers are Doug Lloyd, Wayne Jennings, Jack Carter, Bob Cabbage, and Dewey Crigger.
