CHURCH HILL – Raymond Kelly Dykes, 87, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Raymond was born on October 2, 1937, in Surgoinsville, TN to his parents, John Bell and Mary Ellen (Davis) Dykes. He was a faithful member at Belmont Baptist Church in Mt. Carmel and served as a trustee for many years. Raymond retired from AFG after 27 years. He was an avid Tennessee Vols fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul, Robert, Riley, J.E., and Dee Dykes; and sisters, Grace Dobbs, Virgie Pratt, and Edith Dykes.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Billie Kay Dykes; daughters, Lisa Kauffman (Robert), Kelly Riner (Milburn), Jeanie Marsh, and Kayla Laws (Daniel); grandchildren, Mandy (Scott), Tyler (Kaycee), Megan (Peden), Bradly (Jamison), Morgan, Matt, and Mason; great-grandchildren, Kaeson, David, Kaylee, Bryce, Owen, Hunter, Neyland, Paisley, and Brooks; sister, Mary Louise Price; mother-in-law, Doris Sandidge; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral chapel with Pastors James Adams and Mike Jones officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Christian Bend Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM to go in procession to the cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond's grandsons.
