It was a shock to see Ric's obituary while looking for another one. He was always a help and friend when scheduling SCV events. He never failed to take part and bring his friends with him. The Battle of Blountville has not been the same since he left. He, Shelia and many more put on a great event. He and his unit were present and participated in the dedication of the Sullivan County Historical Museum in Blountville a few years ago. I think that's the last event that we worked together on. My wife remembers well his love for his daughters and family. They talked about it every time we were together. We are truly sorry that we did not know of his passing till now. RIP Ric, you will be missed. Billie Joe and Ruth Ann Holley.

This family has my prayer support. I've know Ric through the Tri Cities Civil War Round Table and our shared Fun Fest Civil War events. He took a few of us on tours of the Battle of Blountville. It was a shock to learn of his passing. We shall see him "over there." Wayne Strong

Ric, dear friend, you never knew the profound impact you had on your friends and fellow reenactors. To say you will be missed feels far too small. Your absence will echo through the halls of time as we cherish the memory of your friendship. You will be forever loved and deeply missed by all of us. Our hearts are broken. Rest easy, Ric. Love and prayers to Hillary and Nicole and kids.
