MURRELLS INLET, SC - Rita Adale Adkins Frost born July 1, l949, in Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away on September 13, 2025, in Murrells Inlet, SC. Rita graduated from Boones Creek High School and later East Tennessee State University in l970. She later taught at Queeens College in Charlotte, NC, and later at Anderson Institute of Technology. While living in Kingsport, she was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher's Organization and First Broad Street United Methodist Church.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Gary Frost and her parents Fred and Eula Adkins. Left to cherish her memory are her children Jeff Frost, Jennifer Tergeoglou, Tim Tergeoglou, and Michael Frost. Her grandchildren are Jessica Frost, Ronny Garber, Halely Frost, Lela Frost, and Will Frost and great-grandchildren are Baylee, Olivia, Hannah and Rory. She is survived by a special sister Martha Eloise Welch. A memorial service for Rita will be held at First Broad Street United Methodist Church in Kingsport, Tennessee, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 4:00PM and a reception to follow at 5:00 at the church. Donations may be made to First Broad Street United Methodist Church, 101 East Church Street, Kingsport, TN, 37660.
