KINGSPORT - Rita Faye Jobe, 78, of Kingsport, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, February 9, 2024, at her home, and was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 6, 1945, in Sullivan County, TN to the late Eldridge and Virginia Johnston Beaman.
Rita was a committed Christian and member of Grace Point Fellowship, Kingsport.
She was the "queen of multi-tasking," always down for a fun time, and never one to pass on a good steak!
Rita had a bright creative mind, talented in all sorts of crafts, and an endless source of personal gifts for the people she loved.
An avid reader, Rita was constantly on the prowl for the next great book to add to her extensive library.
Rita was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was a very special lady who marched to her own drum, and her unique charisma will be missed beyond measure!
In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Blakley, Patsy Holmes, and Nancy Beaman.
Those left to cherish Rita's memory are her husband, Donald Jobe; children, Dawn Smith (Chad), Clint Jobe (Kimberly), and Kim Bledsoe; grandchildren, Cayla and Lauren Smith, Cody (Ashley), Dalton, and Brooke Jobe, and Shane Bledsoe; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Addison Faye Jobe; favorite nieces, Sheri Holmes and Leslie Martinez; nephew, Dennis Holmes (Cindy).
The Entombment Service will be conducted Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel Mausoleum at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Dr. Phil Hoskins and Pastor Paul Warrick will officiate. Those serving as pallbearers, Cody Jobe, Dalton Jobe, Chad Smith, Shane Bledsoe, John Rose, and Larry Kiser.
