KINGSPORT - Ret. 1st Sgt. Ronald J. Morgan, age 72, Kingsport, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Holston Valley Hospital.
Mr. Morgan was born January 20, 1953, in Greeneville, Tennessee to the late Mason Thomas & Edna Mae Gilland Morgan. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Ricker, four brothers, Tommy Morgan, Gene Morgan, Ottis Morgan and Glen Morgan, father and mother-in-law, Onnie Austin & Charlotte Isaacs.
He was a United States Army Veteran.
Mr. Morgan retired from Eastman Chemical Company in the Research Department.
He was a member of 844th Engineering Battalion, Kingsport. He enjoyed woodworking and was a "Jack of all trades and Master of some". He will be greatly missed by family, friends and neighbors.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Austin Morgan, Kingsport; two sons, Joe Morgan, Kingsport and Isaac Morgan, (Michele), Bristol, TN; sister, Sue Yokley, Chuckey, TN; grandchildren, Beth Morgan, Bailee Fields, Trey Morgan, Bailey Morgan and Kaleb Denton; seven great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary Morgan, Elaine Morgan, Kim Morgan, Billie Jo Reece (Harold) and Brenda Seaton (Mike); special niece, Tammy Morgan; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Gentry officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM on Saturday prior to the service.

I'm very sorry I just saw this, Barbara! I had heard about Brenda and was looking for her obituary. I am sorry sweetie, I have great memories of all the birthday parties growing up. There were alot!
