Ronald "Ron" Ragan

June 11, 2025

GRAY - Ronald "Ron" Lynn Ragan, age 67, Gray passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at his residence with loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Dallas Ragan and Mary Sue Dugger Ragan of Johnson City. Ron was retired from Tennessee Eastman Corp. after 45 years of employment. He was a graduate of Daniel Boone High School, class of 1976. Ron was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan who could always be spotted in one of their hats. He loved visiting turkey shoots and goof friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery Allen Ragan.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his loving wife of 46 years, Lisa Ann Bradshaw Ragan; his children, Joshua Ragan of Fall Branch; his daughters, Nikki Stoots and her husband, Shannon of Johnson City and Shannon Bradshaw of Gray; a brother, Jimmy Ragan and wife, Freda of Jonesborough; a sister, Debbie Harris and husband, Rick of Gray; two grandchildren, Damien Corby of Gray and Evan Ramsey of Johnson City; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ron will be conducted Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 7:00 PM in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City, with Bruce Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Gardens, 2630 TN-75, Blountville, TN 37617. Pallbearers will be Damien Corby, Shannon Stoots, Larry Wilson, John Crouch, Jessie Pate Jr., Daniel Pate, Brandon Ragan and Heyward Dargan. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM.

The family would like to give special thanks to the 5200 team at Johnson City Medical Center, the hospice home health team and Jim Montag, PA.
