CHURCH HILL – Ruble Reed, 95, went home to be with his Jesus on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
Ruble retired from Tennessee Eastman after 36 years of service, and after he retired, he drove a school bus for many years. He was a longtime, active member of First Baptist Church of Church Hill.
In addition to his parents, Murray and Ethel Reed, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Velma Fansler Reed; infant daughter, Patty; stepdaughter, Lisa Alley; sisters, Trula Moody, Delcie Renfro, Christine Peters; and his nephews, Mike and Rick Meade.
Left to cherish Ruble's memory are his loving wife, Jean, of the home; daughter, Rebecca Reed; stepson, Danny Christian and wife Melanie; son-in-law, David Alley (Sherry); step-grandchildren, Jennifer Alley, Christian Alley, Dr. Samantha Ketron, and husband Brody, Matthew Christian, and Emily Christian; great-granddaughter, Allie Ketron; special brother-in-law, Bill Bullis, Jerry Bullis, and wife, Marie; nephews, Ray, Jerry, Harvey, Spencer Moody David, and Danny Hurd, and Larry Fansler; nieces, Ladonna Dobson, Pam Livesay, and Terrie Hurd; as well as many dear friends.
A visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Gerhardt, and Rev. Dustin Jessee officiating. Music will be provided by Garry Stuart. A graveside service will follow in procession to Elm Springs Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ray, Jerry, Harvey, and Spencer Moody, Lynn Parker, and David Parker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Ruble's name, or to First Baptist Church in Church Hill.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Ruble was a very special man and always brought a ray of sunshine and a smile every time we saw him. He will be missed!!!
