Sandra Perry Obituary

December 29, 2024
Sandra Arlene Perry, 80, of Kingsport, TN, was welcomed by her Savior on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Life Care Center of Gray after courageously battling her medical conditions for two years, with her devoted and loving husband of 61 years by her side.
Sandy's faith, constant smile, kind soul, and positive attitude was a source of inspiration for those who knew her. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and sister-in-law.
Sandy was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, Tennessee. She graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and attended ETSU. She loved her church, Grace Christian Church. She loved the fellowship of the Dorcas Circle, the many caring projects they had, taking care of the nursery, and being a youth sponsor.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Bob; two daughters, Robin Brickey and Becky Mizer (Chris); son, Phillip (Melissa); grandchildren, Rachael Bowers (Brandon), Holden Perry (Caleigh), and Madison Perry; great-grandchild, Londyn Bowers; sister, Linda Marino (John); sister- and brother-in-laws, Betty and Jim Kilbourne; and a lifelong and loving friend, Norma Munsey.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Life Care Center of Gray. Bob and the children would like to honor Toshia, April, and Karen for their devotion and endless love they showed Sandy every day.
The family will receive friends at Trinity Memorial Centers on Friday, January 17th, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Larry Munsey and Dr. Eddie Clevinger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial contribution to a church or an organization of your choice.

My sincere condolences to all the family. I have fond memories of Sandra and many of my cousins being together on Sundays and Homecomings when our Grandmother Jessee was living. Sandra was a beautiful lady.

So sorry Bob and Linda to hear about Sandra. Too many years have passed without me getting in touch with both of you! Sounds like her health had declined rapidly over past couple of years.
I will always remember her beautiful smile and personality. We enjoyed our weekend visits at GrannyB´s so much, and "played until the end of day"!

Dear Linda and Bob, My sincere love and sympathy to you and the entire family on the death of my sweet cousin, Sandra. We grew up together at our weekend gatherings at the Bevins farm in Castlewood, VA. Many wonderful memories of playing in the creek, pounding on the antique pump organ, and gathering eggs for our grandmother. Bob and family, I was so sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. She and I had a lot of fun together, starting when I was her freshman "counselor" at ETSU, and later at church when we were supposedly grown-ups. She was always a delight and ready to laugh with me. Deepest sympathy to all of you.
